"The culture of Upward Flag Football is exactly what youth sports should be."
That quote from a parent in our end-of-season evaluation says it all about Upward Flag Football & Cheerleading. Upward is much more than simply a sports league. We are a community of players, parents, coaches, referees and fans who work to create an exceptional environment in which children can learn, play, and have fun.

DivisionS
For the Fall League, we have typically divided players into four divisions:
- Division 1 is K to 2nd grade
- Division 2 is 3rd-4th grade
- Division 3 is 5th-6th grade
- Division 4 is 7th-8th grade
When registration numbers allow,
we will move to single-grade leagues.
FUN—WITH EXELLENCE
Upward practices and plays in one of the finest turf stadiums in the area. For our players, that is a thrill in itself.
Then we add night games under the lights, an electric game-day atmosphere, quality uniforms and more to provide players and their families with a top-notch youth sports experience.
spring league:
stay in the game
Several years ago, players and parents asked us to extend our Fall League beyond 8th grade. Upward responded with a Spring League for players in grades 8 to 12. It's a great way for older players to stay in the game and have fun with their friends.
We typically have a division for grades 8-9, and a division for grades 10-12.
Note: Players who age out of the Fall League also have the opportunity to "stay in the game" by serving as referees, coaches, or summer camp counselors, some of which are paid positions.
Whether they are playing in the Spring League or serving as a coach or referee in the Fall League, we love seeing high school (and nearly high school) players remain involved!
Spring League registration begins in late January.
volunteers make upward go!
Our Upward coaches help young athletes grow in their love of the game, but also in their understanding of how sports help them develop the vital skills and decision-making they will need to succeed in life. Learn more
